Dear Parent/Guardian
A quick explanation of how the sessions work:
Taster sessions are held every half term and holiday, from 4-5.15pm. The idea is for your child to attend on one of the days on as many tasters as he/she can throughout the year and once there is a vacancy, I look through the taster lists and find the children who have been to the most tasters – this way we manage to target the children who have been coming the longest and are the most eager! Having said this most of our vacancies happen in September so it is unlikely that your child will get a place if they have just started coming today. However I would still encourage you to come as regularly as you are able. I must add though that we cannot guarantee a placement after a certain amount of sessions, simply because we never know how many vacancies there will be at any given time.
The next tasters are during the summer holidays and will be held over 2 weeks – one at the very beginning and one towards the end of the holidays – but you can still only book one session. The first one is from the 21st – 25th July and the second one is from the 26th – 29th August and I will be taking bookings for either of them from the 1st July onwards. Once you have booked the appointment, payment will once again be taken in advance – you can send a cheque for £6 payable to HGC Ltd to the address above – marked for my attention – with the name of your child and the day that he/she will be attending written on the back of the cheque, or you can drop off the cash/cheque at the office. Please note that the taster sessions get filled up very quickly. If you leave a message on the answer-phone, please say which day you want to book and I will get back to you to confirm the booking. Do not just leave a message for me to call you – by the time I can get back to you, the places could be taken!
If your child has been to at least 4 taster sessions then I have no objection to your calling in to find out whether there is any possibility of a placement near the beginning of a term.
Thank you for attending today.
